Besides good food and friendly staff, the place is clean and well decorated. The old bar and the wood and mirror backdrop has been restored. The restrooms are clean and decorated.
The #1 Restaurant/Diner in The City of Amsterdam for Breakfast is "Europa Cafe". Hands down, "Europa Cafe" is the Best Breakfast in the city. Besides the food being great, the prices on the menus are fair. For just $10 plus Tip, you'll leave the Cafe with a full stomach. The only down side to "Europa Cafe" is sometime you have to wait for a table but the wait isn't long at all maybe 5 - 10 mins.

Even though this place is cash only, it's still getting five stars! Amazing food, fast service, and always friendly. This truly is a team setting here.
Don't be fooled by the name: Nothing about this place is cafe-like (no coffee menu, no pastry options), and the fact that it is located in Amsterdam and run by the descendents of immigrants may be it's only European connection. That said, the diner food is not bad. (Though when I ordered banana pancakes with bacon, the waitress asked if I wanted 'that' in the pancakes or on them. Thinking she was referring to the bacon, I said 'on'. She was referring to the bananas.) No maple syrup, only corn syrup. Standard diner juice options (none fresh). Just a standard diner.
I spend a half hour getting here.
A cash-only diner with an unremarkable menu. It may be nice as a local breakfast/lunch joint, but if you are just passing through, you can skip it.
This place obviously is taken care of with pride. It shows.
Parking is abundant, despite the busy nature of the place, and the interior is a nice setup of booths, bar, and table. It's a lovely converted house. I was impressed they offer To-Go orders. I can appreciate why the locals like it, but if you are looking for something exciting in Amsterdam to sample, this isn't it.
Didn't know this before but as I pulled in, a police car pulled out. What better recommendation since there's not enough room for semi parking!!
